Could you be the full-time Special Tools Senior Engineer in Bangalore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in defining, planning, developing, and validating special tools and test bench equipment required for rolling stock and service activities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, sourcing, quality, and service teams), ensuring alignment with internal standards, catalogues, and customer expectations, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of designing and validating special tools and test benches but also managing their lifecycle and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Defining and preparing the Special Tools List based on project and service requirements
  • Planning and managing project activities, timelines, and workload for tool development
  • Leading the design, development, validation, and industrialization of special tools
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and delivery requirements
  • Designing and validating test benches based on system and product needs
  • Driving cost optimization and localization strategies for tools and test benches

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or a related field)
  • Experience or understanding of special tools design principles and methodologies
  • Knowledge of test bench design and validation processes
  • Familiarity with engineering standards, regulations, and configuration management practices
  • A proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA) and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
