Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your software engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality software solutions that power our trains and ensure seamless integration of software modules. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Train Control Engineers, Verification & Validation Leaders, Sub-System Engineers), manage software development work packages, and oversee configuration management for TCMS software activities.
You’ll specifically take care of integrating software modules with various TCMS subsystems like MPU and DDU, but also ensure adherence to quality and delivery timelines.
We’ll look to you for:

Delivering Train Software modules and managing their integration

Deploying and applying Train Control & Information Solutions development procedures

Ensuring proper management and traceability of hardware and software configurations
-
Maintaining and controlling KPIs for the project and reporting to Software Domain Leaders

Validating software and ensuring overall performance of executable code
-
Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing sub-contractors

Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Hands-on experience in software development phases like requirement gathering, development, and hardware-software integration (minimum 12 years' experience)

Experience in leading complete product life cycles for multiple projects (minimum 7 years’ experience)

Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 (FBD, ST, and SFC) or model-based development tools like ControlBuild, MATLAB/Simulink
-
Familiarity with real-time, distributed controllers and real-time network protocols like MVB, CIP, Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS485
-
Experience managing work packages for sub-contractors

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to improve software development processes
