Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your software expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and highly driven teammates.
You'll contribute to delivering software modules that ensure detailed design and implementation, making a tangible impact on the development of complex embedded solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Software Architects, Hardware Designers, and V&V Designers, to meet Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of software module development, including detailed design, coding, and testing, but also contribute to continuous improvement and standardization efforts.
We’ll look to you for:

Collaborating on software specifications and architecture with the Software Architect

Developing software modules, including design, coding, and testing

Setting up and maintaining the software development toolchain

Performing software module tests and verifications
-
Managing software work products under configuration management
-
Contributing to standardization by reusing or implementing reusable solutions
-
Staying updated on evolving technologies through techno-watch
-
Applying processes and standards while maintaining strong links with cross-functional teams
-
Driving continuous improvement initiatives

Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent

8+ years of experience in designing software modules for complex embedded systems

Proficiency in programming languages like C and scripting languages such as Python
-
Experience with multi-core/multi-threaded programming
-
Knowledge of operating systems like Linux, RTOS, or VxWorks
-
Familiarity with communication protocols such as TCP/IP, CIP, TRDP, and MVB
-
Strong understanding of embedded concepts like multi-threading and IPC
-
Experience in low-level embedded software design

Problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to address root causes in complex systems

Exposure to security principles and secure network communications (desirable)

Background in the rail industry or similar industries (preferred)

Ability to collaborate across global teams and adapt to diverse cultural settings
