Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your embedded systems expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside highly motivated and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a key role in delivering software modules, ensuring detailed design, implementation, and quality. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Software Architects, Hardware Designers, and V&V teams), contribute to continuous improvement processes, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of designing and coding software modules, as well as preparing and performing module tests, but also contributing to technology standardization and reusable solutions.
We’ll look to you for:

Contributing to the elaboration of software specifications and architecture in collaboration with the Software Architect

Performing detailed design and coding of software modules

Setting up the software development toolchain
-
Preparing and performing software module tests and verifications
-
Managing software configuration according to the product Configuration Management Plan
-
Collaborating with cross-functional teams like RAMS and V&V departments
-
Applying processes and standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
-
Staying updated on technological advancements through ongoing learning

Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, Computer Science, ECE, EEE, or equivalent

5+ years of experience in designing software modules for complex embedded systems

Proficiency in programming languages like C and scripting languages such as Python
-
Experience with multi-core/multi-threaded programming
-
Familiarity with operating systems like Linux, RTOS, or VxWorks
-
Knowledge of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, CIP, TRDP, and MVB
-
Strong understanding of embedded concepts like multi-threading and IPC
-
Problem-solving and debugging skills to address complex system challenges

Experience in low-level embedded software design

Exposure to security principles and secure network communications (desirable)

Background in the rail industry or similar industries (desirable)
