Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical leadership and software architecture expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a highly motivated and collaborative team.

You'll shape the future of embedded software systems, ensuring their performance, safety, and reliability. You’ll specifically take care of defining software requirements and architecture, as well as leading integration and validation processes, but also contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the rail mobility industry.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Contributing to product/system specification and architecture in collaboration with product architects and owners

  • Defining software requirements, including functional, operational, interface, and performance constraints

  • Designing software architecture, breaking down components, and allocating requirements

  • Making key technical decisions, such as selecting tools, methodologies, and microprocessor platforms

  • Leading software and hardware integration, as well as preparing and performing tests

  • Driving innovation by creating reusable codes, reference libraries, and model-based developments

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent

  • 15+ years of experience in product and software development, preferably in complex embedded systems

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Rust, Python, and microservices development

  • Experience with RTOS (Linux, VX Works) or equivalent

  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

  • Familiarity with standards such as CENELEC SIL4 / DO178A / DO178B

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills

  • Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to make data-driven decisions

  • Flair for learning technologies specific to the railway domain

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Progress towards senior leadership or technical expert roles

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
