Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your embedded systems expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a highly motivated and collaborative team of professionals.
You'll play a pivotal role in defining and delivering software architecture for complex embedded solutions, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery commitments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including system architects, product designers, and quality and safety teams), lead software design activities, and ensure the successful integration of hardware and software components, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of elaborating product/system specifications and software architecture, but also contribute to the technical delivery of software covering the entire lifecycle.
We’ll look to you for:

Contributing to the elaboration of product/system specifications and architecture in collaboration with the Product Architect and System Engineering Manager

Defining software requirements, including functional, operational, interface, and performance requirements
-
Designing software architecture, including functional and structural breakdowns, interfaces, and dynamic behavior
-
Validating the feasibility of solutions through modeling, simulation, or mock-ups
-
Making key technical choices for software tools, methodologies, and coding strategies
-
Performing software integration and testing, including SW/SW and HW/SW integration

Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent

15+ years of experience in managing and leading complex projects, with expertise in embedded systems

Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and scripting languages (e.g., Python)
-
Experience with RTOS (e.g., Linux, VX Works, QNX) and hardware-based testing
-
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD frameworks, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP
-
Understanding of industry standards like CENELEC SIL4 or DO178B
-
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify root causes in complex systems

Experience in the rail industry is highly desirable, but similar industries will also be considered

Flair for learning technologies specific to the railway domain
