Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your embedded systems expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a highly motivated and collaborative team of professionals.
You'll play a key role in developing complex embedded solutions, ensuring the successful design and implementation of software modules. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including system users, software designers, and V&V designers, to meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of contributing to software specifications and architecture design, as well as developing and testing software modules, but also collaborating with global teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
We’ll look to you for:

Contributing to the elaboration of software specifications and architecture design

Developing and coding software modules with a focus on quality and adherence to standards

Setting up the software development toolchain

Preparing and performing software module tests and verifications
-
Managing software configuration in line with the product Configuration Management Plan
-
Staying updated on evolving technologies through continuous learning and technology watch
-
Contributing to standardization by reusing or creating reusable solutions
-
Maintaining strong collaboration with software architects, hardware designers, RAMS, and V&V teams throughout the software design cycle

Applying processes and standards to ensure quality and consistency
-
Driving continuous improvement initiatives, including Return on Experience (RoE) and process optimization

Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, Computer Science, ECE, EEE, or equivalent

10+ years of experience in designing software modules for complex embedded systems

Proficiency in programming languages such as C and scripting languages like Python
-
Experience with multi-core/multi-threaded programming
-
Knowledge of operating systems such as Linux, RTOS, and VX Works
-
Familiarity with communication protocols such as TCP/IP, CIP, TRDP, and MVB
-
Strong understanding of embedded concepts, including multi-threading and inter-process communication (IPC)
-
Experience with low-level embedded software design
-
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure network communications
-
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify root causes in complex systems
-
Experience in the rail industry is highly desirable, but similar industries will also be considered
-
Ability to collaborate with global teams across different geographical locations
-
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and influence in a matrix organization

Innovative mindset with a passion for creating reusable solutions and model-based developments

Willingness to travel to our platform development center in Europe on a short-term, as-needed basis
