Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in software architecture and cybersecurity in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals.

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering software modules by ensuring detailed design, implementation, and testing of modules. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Software Architects, Software Designers, and Validation & Verification Designers, to support programs and meet quality, cost, and delivery commitments. You’ll also contribute to the development of reference libraries, reusable codes, and model-based developments.

You’ll specifically take care of the integration of software modules and the preparation of software module tests, but also support the software and hardware integration process.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Contributing to the elaboration of software specifications and architecture in collaboration with the Software Architect.

  • Performing integration and detailed design of software modules.

  • Setting up the software development toolchain.

  • Preparing and performing software module tests and verifications.

  • Ensuring configuration management of software work products according to the product Configuration Management Plan.

  • Supporting software and hardware integration alongside the hardware designer.

  • Staying informed of technological advancements through continuous learning.

  • Contributing to standardization by reusing or implementing reusable solutions.

  • Collaborating closely with software architects, hardware designers, RAMS, and V&V departments throughout the software design cycle.

  • Applying processes and standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.


All about you

  • Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or equivalent.

  • 15+ years of experience in designing software modules in complex embedded systems.

  • Experience or understanding of embedded/RTOS applications and adherence to software processes and coding guidelines.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity feature development and concepts.

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Embedded C and Python.

  • Experience working with RT Linux and protocols like TCP/IP.

  • Understanding of standards such as CENELEC SIL4 / DO178A / DO178B.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to guide, influence, and collaborate in a matrix organization.

  • Innovative mindset with a flair for learning technologies specific to the railway domain.

  • Experience working with European customers (preferred but not mandatory).
