Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your embedded product development expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering software modules, ensuring detailed design and implementation, and contributing to the development of complex embedded solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including software architects, hardware designers, and V&V teams, while traveling occasionally to our platform development center in Europe to collaborate with global counterparts.

You’ll specifically take care of designing, coding, and testing software modules, but also contribute to continuous improvement and standardization efforts.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Contributing to the elaboration of software specifications and architecture in collaboration with the software architect.

  • Developing software modules, including detailed design, coding, and testing.

  • Setting up and maintaining the software development toolchain.

  • Supporting software and hardware integration activities.

  • Applying processes and standards while ensuring configuration management of deliverables.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement through Return on Experience (RoE) and process enhancements.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (IT, CS, ECE, EEE) or equivalent.

  • 12+ years of experience in embedded product development.

  • Strong expertise in design evaluation, architecture development, and problem-solving.

  • Programming skills in Python, C, and C++, with familiarity in Linux and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).

  • Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity concepts, and communication protocols such as Ethernet, serial, and wireless.

  • Hands-on experience with tools like Wireshark for network analysis.

  • Familiarity with multi-core/multi-threading, TCP/IP, UDP protocols, and CENELEC standards.

  • Experience with GIT, CI/CD, and containerized environments is a plus.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
