Job Title: Methods and Tools Site Manager 

Network:

  • Report to Methods and Tools Manager India
  • Métier Process_Correspondents : for local Process & Métier rules.
  • IS&T for Tools support : IT Supporters ; KU-Online ; local EUSS ; IS Solution_Owners ; IT Solution_Managers.
  • Key-Users : to animate Top-Down/Bottom-Up exchanges and reinforce Functional support Level 1 to Users.
  • DMM network : coordination and best practices sharing for E2E Data Mgt (Digital Mock-Up and PBS in PLM).
  • M&T Communities (Engineering & Other Departments, as Indus, Project, Sourcing…) : to collaborate on Std Methodology deploy/adjustment to local Ecosystem specificities ; and Interfaces for Input/Output data consistency.
  • HR Site Learning + Eng. School : to coordinate trainings, delivered by KU validated in “Tool Referents listing”.

Responsibilities

  • Support site engineering Métier Leaders and Projects on operations with existing Local Solutions, and according to Engineering Management Handbook WoW referential (ENG-RS-WMS-004).
  • Coordinate with other M&T functions to insure End-to-End DataFlows consistency. Drive DMM (also so called DME) to assure PBS, DMU, configuration consistency and eBOM baselines maturity managed in PDM/PLM : within collaborative projects WoW specificities and local Tools ecosystem constraints.
  • Adapt M&T Team workforce (can be partially delegated to subcontractors) to face major changes in site WoW, or for specific project application assistance needs (then re-charged onto Project costs).
  • Animate local Key-Users community, as interface with operational Solution Users : to distribute updates, share & capitalize functional REX ; insure their nomination and respect of KU model WoW (rights & duties).
  • Interface IS&T local & central support organization : for Software Deployments and Availability (licenses, performances, bugs, workarounds, functional admin…).
  • If standard Support Levels 1&2 failed in solving a critical issue, Central M&T can support on workarounds definition, and/or escalation up to adequate Management levels (with prioritization according shared Impact/Occurrence analysis).
  • Can contribute to New Solutions definition, and Support local implementation as a main “change-agent” : in order to manage transition of local ecosystem towards shared and collaborative Alstom Standard Solutions (for multi-sites Projects compatibility, fluidity in PIO/PDO execution, new engineering Footprints ramp-ups, Partners collaboration)

  • Digital Collaborative Engineering Solutions :
    • 3D Virtual Reality immersion Technologies (VRC, Techviz, Augmented reality)
    • Collaborative processes (FTA, 3Djuump, DMTR, PIXYZ, etc.)
  • Product Lifecycle Management Solutions (transversal competence) :
    • PLM for RSC Industrial Manufacturing (3D Experience v6)
    • BIM for Linear Infrastructures & System Installation (CDE Projectwise)

Knowledge / Experience

  • 18 years of industry experience 
  • Team Management, competence development, and budget management.
  • Knowledge of local solutions ecosystem, and functional architecture.
  • Knowledge of engineering data structures, data content and data flows I/O.
  • Understanding of Tool’s architecture & infrastructure in order to interface with IS&T.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Design & Project WoW (DFQ, Project Manual, Eng Manual).
  • Knowledge of General Railway Businesses (TIS, S&I, RSC, TLS) to interface with Métiers & Projects.
  • Fluent English written and spoken mandatory ; experienced in fluent conference-call with “WWide Accents”
