OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Alstom Services platform offers a wide range of business solutions for Rolling Stocks (train, metro, tramway…), Signalling and Infrastructure products: maintenance, modernization, technical support and parts services.

Several solutions are being implemented to optimize Alstom Service business processes and provide services to customers: maintenance management system, service execution system, maintenance documentation, dashboards, eCommerce for spare parts, customer web portal, eLogbook, maintenance planning optimization… based on technologies such as SAP, Salesforce, Apriso, Anaplan, Arbortext, QlikSense, Maximo a.s.o

The IS&T (Information System & Technology) Service team supports the maintenance business on several processes: warranty, maintenance, maintenance scheduling and service execution. One major role of the team is to design, deliver and support application for Scheduling process based on Geocall (Overit) technology to Alstom projects worldwide

 

For all maintenance / warranty activities the fleet planning tool used by fleet planner is Geocall (Overit solution). This solution is used by fleet planner in order to optimize long, mid and short term planning, this application is interfaced with our MMIS solution.

The Service Operation specialist role is to be able to rollout the application on new Alstom site, develop new functions in the application in alignment with business needs, be able to document all features available in the application.

The Service Operation specialist should support on evolution of the application and of algorithm used by the application (heuristics algorithm, graph theory based algorithm…)

In order to respond to our increased number of sites and application evolution, which is a result of our accelerated deployment roadmap, we are looking for a Service Operation specialist to integrate our team.       

     

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Service Operation specialist, you are in charge of:

  • Ensuring that Geocall Core Model solution (Solution + processes & rules) is well documented
  • Supporting Geocall application Roll-out, ensuring that Core Model is applied
  • Developing and delivering Service Operation applications evolution in accordance with Métier strategy
    • Enhancement of Geocall solution
  • Developing evolution of algorithm used by the application to optimize the planning
    • Enhancement of algorithm base on graph theory optimization engine (C++)
    • Optimization algorithm based on Cplex technology
  • Interacting with Operations teams by monitoring their activities & providing technical expertise when needed

 

In order to be able to execute all the responsibilities’ above, you will be working with our external partners.  In addition, you will be constantly liaising between partners and local business in order to drive the different projects successfully.  When it comes to our applicative landscape, you will be working not only with partners and business but also with other IS&T teams in other pillars. Your functional and technical expertise will be needed in order to deliver the different projects with high quality and on time.


 Your Functional scope contains following business processes: long term, mid-term, short term planning and diagramming allocation

You are action-oriented person with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You are a self-starter and result oriented person. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are a must because you will need to work autonomously in a worldwide & multicultural environment. You should be agile to handle multiple tasks efficiently, keeping the big picture, and effectively delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment.                              

 

 TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Development capabilities on Overit Geocall solution 
  • Development capabilities on optimization algorithm : graph theory optimization engine, heuristic algorithm (C++, Cplex…)
  • Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology - Minimum 5 years of IT experience 
  • Language skills: English expertise is a must both spoken and written.
