Digital Transformation / IS&T supports the Product Lines (Rolling Stock, Digital & Integrated Systems and Services) and Regions of Alstom mainly on the scope of internal IT (applications, infra, security, support). To answer new requirements form Alstom Customers to propose some Software as a Service Solutions and evolutions of Alstom products towards sofwtare (and cloud usage) Digital Transformation function is building a new technical platform and service model to our customers. The objective of the IT Desing Leader for Customer role is to build the right architecture of digital services to customers integrating different standard existing blocks and taking into account the contract // Customer specifics

JOB PURPOSE :

To cover new customer requirements and products evolutions, Alstom Digital Transformation function is building a new technical platform and service model to integrate existing and future digital solutions proposed to customers. This is the purpose of the AGORA R&D program. ONEXIS is the brand name of the platform

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will report directly to Infrastructure solutions director and head of ONEXIS Design authority  . You will responsible to design the IT solution as part of the customer project organization 

• Understand Alstom customers projects stakes and organization
  • stakeholders of the project (internal / external)
  • Customer relationship
  • contractual schemes
• Understand existing and future Alstom Digital solutions
  • portfolio of standard solutions offered
  • solutions proposed ad-hoc on projects
  • new solutions (data driven) under construction
  • existing singaling solutions evolving towards cloud & SaaS
  • master the content of ONEXIS technical blocks
• Design the IT Solutions and Services associated with the contract 
  • Ensure hand-over from tender team
  • Build and manage architecture documents for IT deliveries
  • Ensure the solutions and services designed integrate the applications, infrastrucutre, security and services blocks
  • Define solution in line with the ONEXIS Architecture board 
  • Manage gaps to standards solutions (ensure costing is appropriate, feedback central teams on missing blocks, etc..)
  • Report progress to IT work-package manager in charge 
  • Ensure the technical constraints and stakes are understood by project (business) teams
  • Manage interdependencies with on-board software
  • Understand the architecture building blocks costs structure
  • Look for the best of breed between costs and sustainability / operability of the solution designed
  • Be able to understand applications, hosting, cloud , network, security components (firewall, antivirus, etc..) and put that knowledge in regards to the customer requirements / constraints
• Drive IT technical experts during the project durations
• works hand in hand with the IT PM for Customer Projects

MAIN CHALLENGES OF THE ROLE :

• You are an IT expert with a wide understanding of all IT disciplines (from security to infrastrcuture to cloud to appliactions logics)
• Your main skill is sytem integration, i.e assembling the different technical blocks towards a business solution for the customer
• You have expertise in requirement management
• You are able to manage functionnally technical teams from different horizons
• You have been exposed or are eager to dicover the railway business (and mainly the relationship with software on-board)
• You have an understanding of contractual elements related to IT topic
• You have the capacity to assess the best of bread between a standard approach and solutions and the adaptations required by customer

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

EDUCATION : Engineering degree

• Graduated with an engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in information technology, you have more than 10 years of experience
• You are working as an IT architect for many years with some significant experience on Azure cloud : required certification as solution architect   AZ 305
• You have worked in different IT disciplines or have the capacity to manage technical teams from these different disciplines
• You have good communication, leadership and change management skills. You are result oriented, able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.
• You are conscious of delivery constraints and are able to push for quick technical decisions when necessary
• You are comfortable to understand customer context and Alstom Products
• Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international and matrix environment and to face the business challenges with Alstom
