OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

 

To execute responsibilities related to Record to Report process for high complexity countries assigned to the role

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Administer journal entry process and templates
  • Perform mass upload
  • Perform Manual posting
  • Reverse accruals
  • Administer process and templates for fixed asset requests
  • Perform asset accounting
  • Book lease journals
  • Prepare, publish and monitor month end closing calendar
  • Perform period closing tasks
  • Prepare period cost accruals, amortization and reclasses
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statement
  • Prepare asset subledger to general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare other BS Reconciliations
  • Prepare FI-CO Reconciliation
  • Perform open item clearing in balance sheet ledgers
  • Perform internal control checks
  • Publish SLA compliance
  • Publish process KPIs
  • Perform reviews with units
  • Prepare hard close and year end audit schedules
  • Publish reporting packs
  • Adhere to set Standard Operating Procedures in the execution of activities
  • Adhere to set internal controls in the execution of activities
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis on all critical issues / errors reported, track and the closure of corrective and preventive actions
  • Track changes to the processes and ensure SOPs are kept updated
  • Train new entrants to the process
  • Actively contribute in development, integration and transfer of the processes and teams from the different Regions to GFC
  • Actively contribute in standardization of the Record To Report processes in the country/countries
  • Ensure the delivery of reliable and timely information to the units
  • Build and maintain healthy rapport and trust with all up-stream and down-stream stake-holders to the process in the countries
  • Actively contribute towards strategic initiatives and special projects when assigned or required

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION

Graduate or Post-Graduate in Accounting / Finance

Language: English (mandatory)

 

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Fluency in communication in English, both written and verbal
  • Team playing skills
  • Ability to adhere to set guidelines
  • Ability to challenge status quo

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

 

Mandatory

  • Good understanding of accounting
  • Working level skills in ERP

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

8-11 years of experience in accounting of which 4 years in R2R
