Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your financial reporting and budgeting expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information while embedding robust budgetary and internal controls within our KPIs. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and senior management, oversee month-end reporting processes, and drive improvements in financial practices and awareness within the business unit.
You’ll specifically take care of the preparation and reconciliation of the general ledger and fixed asset register but also support the economic performance communication to leadership teams.
We’ll look to you for:
-
Ensuring month-end reporting is executed on time and aligned with accounting standards, the ALSTOM RAM, and internal control manuals.
-
Accurate preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring involvement and ownership from budget owners at all levels.
-
Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register and calculating depreciation in compliance with the ALSTOM RAM.
-
Promoting and improving internal controls in line with the Internal Control Manual, E-Book, and the Code of Ethics.
-
Building business partnerships by supporting all levels of management on financial matters and performance monitoring.
-
Creating a culture of cost and cash flow optimisation within the business unit.
-
Challenging operational KPIs and supporting the MDI and Kaizen culture within the organisation.
-
Collaborating with Project Controlling and Ledger Accounting to ensure high-quality reporting and forecasting.
-
Providing backup for other finance-related duties, ensuring no segregation of duties issues arise.
-
Continuously improving processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness in reporting and budgetary control.
