Alstom IS&T is a corporate organization composed of 5 pillars. That position is located under the Business Solutions pillar, in charge of global architecture of Alstom IT solutions, as well as deploying, and maintaining it. Within Business Solutions, the ERP Program Director oversees the ERP solution tower, where central ERP solutions lifecycle is managed, including its applicative landscape such as manufacturing execution system, and supplier collaborations solutions. The ERP Core Team is divided in 6 streams: Accounting, Controlling, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations and Quality. You will report to the Purchasing Stream leader under this organization. Purchasing Stream is in charge of Sourcing and Procurement processes. You will mainly contribute to Alstom ERP core model implementation program and will be in charge of leading the delivery team. This position is based in Bangalore, and there will be frequent worldwide travel to Alstom sites to support locally roll-out. You will join an international team and collaborate actively with many different stakeholders (key users, regional process expert, Business process owner, solutions experts from all IS&T towers, Support teams, data et development factory). English language in a multicultural environment is a must.


The Purchasing SAP Delivery Lead role is to be the head of the delivery team that will be in charge of deploying Alstom ERP core model including it satellites non-ERP solutions (ARIBA for sourcing, procurement and supply chain collaboration, BI), part of Alstom ERP program. We are looking for an SAP MM/ARIBA experimented consultant to join our team.


As an ERP Delivery Lead, you are in charge on your functional scope to :

  • Be the point of contact of Purchasing Stream for every deployment projects and activities
  • Ensure good execution of the rollout projects in term of planning and deliverables and periodic reporting of these activities
  • Arbitrate on decisions and being responsible of the consistency of the deployed solution
  • Participate to rollout execution
    • Assess and define scope including org structure, functional scope, applicative landscape, and local gaps (contractual and regulatory)
    • Design, Build and Test Solution (Core + Localization+ Auth + Batch)
    • Deploy Application landscape
    • Assess and define data migration & cleansing strategy
    • Support Key users for data mapping and migration
    • Train Key users
    • Defect resolution for all test phases and PGLS
    • Knowledge transfer to Operations/Support team
  • Continuously propose improvements of our implementation methodology



Your Functional scope contains following business processes:

§ End-to-end purchasing flows execution in ERP for Stock and Non-stock items : Source lists, PIR, Purchase request, RFQ, Outline agreements, Scheduling agreements, Quotas, Confirmation, ASN, Purchase orders, Service entry sheet

§ Vendor Master Data management

§ Release management
§ VMI & Consignment
§ Subcontracting

§ ARIBA integration for Sourcing and Procurement : Buying channels, Catalogs, Purchase requisition, Supplier qualification (SLP), Approval & workflows, RFQ, Auctions

§ ARIBA integration for Supply Chain Collaboration : PO & SAR collaboration, Ariba Network
§ Supplier integration through EDI


You are an action-oriented person with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You are a self-starter and result-oriented person. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are a must because you will need to work autonomously in a worldwide & multicultural environment. You should be agile to handle multiple tasks efficiently, keeping the big picture, and effectively delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment.t.


  • Deep functional knowledge in SAP ECC6 MM module, and strong experience implementing this module.
  • Experience in integration of ECC6 with ARIBA Buying, Sourcing & Contract, Supply Chain Collaboration
  • Technical knowledge (IDOC, LSMW, Integration monitoring, Cloud Integration Gateway)
  • Integration knowledge with Planning  is a plus
  • Language skills: English is a must both spoken and written.
  • Graduated with an engineering degree, you have more than 4 years of experience in SAP-ERP solutions
