Could you be the full-time Project RS On-Board Design Engineer in Bengaluru we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in on-board electronic system design in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in delivering systems that meet customer expectations while adhering to project schedules. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including the Rolling Stock engineering team, project core team, and system development teams), act as the technical interface with suppliers, and ensure system integration and validation, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of defining system architecture, managing requirements, and validating solutions, but also organizing design reviews and supporting risk and savings reviews.
We’ll look to you for:

Providing design specifications and monitoring validation solutions up to customer acceptance

Ensuring external interfaces are consistent with the system

Supervising and participating in system deliveries, including architecture definition and system performance

Organizing and leading design reviews

Defining functional validation phases (PC, bench, TrainLab, train)

Supporting the Project Engineering Manager with transparency on QCD performance

Acting as the technical interface with suppliers and ensuring compliance with Alstom standards

Performing network diagnostics, troubleshooting, and validation testing for onboard Ethernet IP data/message exchanges

Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent

Experience in on-board electronic system design, even if outside the railway domain

Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, LAN configuration, and network protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, SNMP, NTP)

Familiarity with TRDP (Train Real-time Data Protocol) and its validation/integration testing
-
Desirable training in network and telecom, IT services, or cybersecurity

Experience in QCD supplier management

Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Ability to work transversally with engineering teams
