Could you be the full-time Project RS On-Board Design Engineer in Bangalore we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your electronics and systems engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the design, validation, and delivery of on-board systems that meet customer requirements while adhering to project schedules. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as the Rolling Stock engineering team, product development teams, and project sourcing leaders), act as the technical interface with suppliers, and oversee system integration activities, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of defining system architecture, ensuring interface consistency, and monitoring validation solutions, but also supporting risk reviews and ensuring compliance with quality processes.
We’ll look to you for:

Providing design specifications and validation monitoring solutions up to customer acceptance

Ensuring external interfaces are consistent with the system

Supervising and participating in system deliveries, including requirements management, architecture definition, and detailed design

Organizing and leading design reviews

Contributing to defining functional validation phases (PC, bench, TrainLab, train)

Acting as the technical interface with suppliers for buy solutions and ensuring proper system integration

Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent

5 yrs experience in on-board electronic system design, even if outside the railway domain

Knowledge of network and telecom solutions (TCP/IP fundamentals, LAN configuration, protocols like TCP, UDP, ICMP, SNMP, NTP)

Familiarity with TRDP (Train Real-time Data Protocol) for onboard Ethernet IP data/message exchanges

Capability to perform TRDP validation and integration testing

Good verbal and written English communication skills

Ability to work transversally with engineering teams
