Purpose of the Role:

  • To lead and direct the Digital & Integrated Systems (DIS) Maintenance organisation in profitably fulfilling DIS Maintenance Contracts from Transfer Meeting to Contract Closure.
  • To manage the DIS Maintenance project according to the contract through the delivery of all work packages according to QCD commitments.
  • Deliver the DIS Maintenance Project in according to QCD commitments as specified in the contract. Enroll, manage and obtain the commitments of each member the Project Cross functional team.  

Mission of the Position:

To Manage, Control, and provide a timely execution of the DIS Maintenance project, including acceptance and satisfaction of the customer with optimized financial return.

 

During Preparation stage:

  • To validate and to update the tender assumptions, and if need be, to include variations and innovations.
  • Collect REX from other projects.
  • Fine tune the balance between On-shore and Off-shore parts.
  • Set up the Handover-Takeover meeting with the Project T&C team and signoff.
  • Prepare the project QA plan along with the Quality team.

 

During Mobilization stage:

  • To define the appropriate maintenance organization in line with the contractual requirement and defined budgets
  • Hire key operational maintenance staff members.
  • Sets up the operational processes (including Method statements…)
  • Put in place sub-contracted activities.
  • Set in place the Maintenance Management System.
  • Coordinate with the Project Team for the hand-over process (from Project to Maintenance Phase).

 

During the management of maintenance project:

 

  • To deliver the contractual performance targets (availability, etc..)
  • Lead and direct the maintenance organisation in profitably fulfilling the DIS Maintenance Contract on the relevant Project.
  • Lead and direct the maintenance team in delivering the quality of maintenance required by the contracts with the client, at optimum cost.
  • Continually evaluate and monitor the performance of your team and carry out Performance Evaluations for all team members as per Alstom guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a robust and professional working relationship with all Customers and suppliers, with a view to ensuring both the continued viability and profitability of the Infrastructure Maintenance Contracts.
  • Drive continuous improvement and develop an improvement strategy for the business.
  • Interface with the Testing & Commissioning & Project Engineering teams to solve T&C and other Issues.
  • To be part of the Management on Call Roster.
  • Ensure that QCD commitments exist for all work packages.
  • Allocate all contractual obligations to Work Packages.
  • Manage at Project level all Project Reviews and Gate Reviews, including organisation and reporting.
  • Confirm that QCD commitments will support the successful execution of the contract.
  • To manage convergence of all work packages as an integrated whole to meet QCD commitments.
  • Ensure that all work packages are reviewed on a regular basis with the relevant Work Package Owner to identify and resolve issues.
  • Manage all project reviews using the Work Package reports as a basis.
  • Ensure that people from Product lines and Regions are involved as needed.
  • Take overall responsibility for Project Management Processes.
  • Drive and make decisions for issues that affect performance at the Project level.
  • Proceed and decide on recommendations for resolving key issues within projects. Ensure that all decisions are executed.
  • Manage conflicts and obtain resolutions.
  • Will be the primary contact with clients, partners, and Customer Directors for project issues.
  • Daily contact with Client’s O&M Or Project Management Team for project progress and related issues as required.
  • Support the Customer Director in negotiations on all critical variation orders, claim issues and contractual / revenue issues.
  • Identify and communicate with the Customer Director any information that can lead to new business opportunities or improved customer relationships.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with partners.
  • Drive and make decisions on work packages to ensure successful project execution.
  • Act as Site Manager towards authorities, end customer, etc. during the executing period of the maintenance contract, post Design and Build Phase.
  • Ensure that Safety Processes and Practices meet the requirements of the Country laws and Regulations.

Key Performance:

Delivery the Service Level Agreements (SLA) as per the contract to customer. Notable being..   

  • Service affecting Failures/delays at minimum.
  • Response and Issue Resolution in agreed timeframes
  • Achieve zero penalty in project.  
  • Upsell and target Variation Orders
  • Deliver Cost optimization and maintain Profitability of the project
