Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a cutting-edge and data-driven field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and goal-oriented teammates.
You'll play a critical role in driving Alstom's data initiatives forward, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with our governance frameworks. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (data engineers, analysts, IT teams, and business leaders), manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data projects, and ensure compliance with Alstom’s Project Management Gate (PMG) processes, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of aligning data project deliverables with Alstom’s lifecycle phases (tendering, execution, closing), but also preparing and presenting required artifacts for gate approvals, such as business cases and risk assessments.
We’ll look to you for:
-
Defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria aligned with business objectives
-
Developing detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
-
Ensuring adherence to Alstom PMG methodology, including gate reviews and documentation
-
Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into structured project plans
-
Tracking progress and ensuring timely delivery of milestones
-
Managing risks, dependencies, and roadblocks to maintain project momentum
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
-
5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in data or analytics projects
-
Proven experience working within structured project governance frameworks (Alstom PMG preferred)
-
Strong understanding of data ecosystems (data lakes, warehouses, ETL pipelines)
-
PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.)
-
Experience with Agile, Scrum, and structured methodologies
-
Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, or Databricks
