Could you be the full-time Traction Project Engineering Manager in Bangalore, KA, IN we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive traction and propulsion expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates.

You'll lead the way in ensuring the success of our engineering projects by delivering high-quality traction systems, managing costs, and adhering to timelines. Reporting and interacting locally and with global stakeholders. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as design, production, and supply chain), coordinate cross-functional efforts, and much more. You will also work in a global environment and interface customers.

You’ll specifically take care of leading cross-functional engineering teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Executing traction system projects with cross-functional teams, stretching from mechanical design, software implementation, to electrical design and power electronics
  • Technically lead and drive the railway traction scope within the engineering team
  • Drive and deliver the project from end to end: Conceptual design, Requirements management, interface management, design implementation, test and validation including commissioning.
  • Managing high voltage application projects from conception to deployment
  • Encouraging continuous improvement within the team
  • Ensuring the engineering team delivers state of the art traction project as per timelines and on cost with the right quality
  • Meeting the highest quality standards in engineering deliverables and implementing risk mitigation strategies

All about you

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics
  • 10 years of experience or understanding of traction or propulsion systems, specifically for railway
  • Knowledge of power electronics and high voltage applications, specifically IGBT based solutions
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Railway experience, especially for the Indian railway market
  • Strong leadership qualities that foster team confidence and respect
  • Strong drive of complex engineering projects of cross functional teams
  • Effective communication and motivational skills
