OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

  • Keeps the project / program Configuration and Change Management under control during the whole project / program life cycle. 
  • Plans, integrates, develops, drives and monitors the application of the Configuration Management process and verifies that the Change Management process are properly applied and CM principles are rigorously respected. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans, implements and drives CCM process within their project or program. 
  • Creates, aligns, maintains and releases the Configuration Management Plan including the Change Management Setup (Change Boards, R&R, interfaces, Conditional Processes etc.) latest until end of startup phase together with project core team and ensures that plans of other functions are harmonized with the CMP and checks and updates the CMP during whole Project Life Cycle (if necessary). 
  • Analyses, reviews and provides the compliance statement on CCM related requirements (customer, partner and internal). 
  • Creates and maintains the Configuration Strategy and publishes Configuration Baselines and Target Configurations (coherency checking, Baseline Release Notes). 
  • Verifies and releases components which will be considered as Configuration items (Traceable Items). 
  • Ensures Supplier Configuration Management incl. CM requirement negotiation. 
  • Monitors the CM process and Configuration Status including reporting (e.g. Configuration Status Accounting). 
  • Manages the Change Boards. 
  • Ensures the "end-to-end" traceability of every change request including assignment to Baseline and/ or Target Configuration. 
  • Ensures completeness, correctness, clarity and timeline of Change Requests in cooperation with the change requestor from Preparation to Approval to Implementation and Closure. 
  • Measures / reports CCM process performance / maturity (KPIs) and derivates and manages actions (PDCA). 
  • Ensures all functions involved in the Configuration Management process are capable and conducts trainings if not. 
  • Ensures the necessary Configuration and Change Management tools are in place including all interfaces (e.g. Partners). 
  • Ensures effective hand-over of CCM data and responsibilities at the end of key phases (Realization, then Product Introduction/ Service). 
  • Supports to analyze, review, maintain CCM related risks and opportunities. 
  • Resolves and escalates any CCM related issues in the project / program to the Chief of Development or Project / Program Director and the respective supervisor of the CM function for resolution. 
  • Ensures that physical and functional CCM audits are performed. 
  • Assess the training needs for all Project / Program functions, which are involved in the process. 
  • Leads and manages a team of PrCCC within their project / program (if applicable). 
  • Ensures configuration is formalized and adequate at any time to deliver the configuration and change documentation to the stakeholders (e.g. customer, supplier, partner). 
  • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct. 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of University Degree in any of Engineering / Project Management / Business Management or equivalent .

 

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

  • Knowledge of railway products, systems and components 
  • Knowledge of the AT standard information systems of the digital chain (SAP, PLM, Change Tools, etc.) 
  • Preferable trained to a recognized Configuration and Change Management standard 
  • Demonstrates comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills and the ability to guide, influence and convince other without formal leadership 
  • understanding of project / program, engineering, production and testing planning 

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

  • Profound understanding of Configuration & Change Management and how its related processes such as Requirements Management, Data Management and Document Control inter-relate with the Business Processes 
  • Experiences in Business Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Engineering and Industrialization 
  • Experiences in working in an international environment 
  • Fluent English language skills 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant role  

 

  • Language Skills: Proficient in English language,
  • IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
