Could you be the full-time Network Security Analyst in Bangalore we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your network security expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, forward-thinking, and inclusive teammates.
You'll play a vital role in ensuring the security and efficiency of our network infrastructure. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as IS&T E2E PM, Local IS&T Business Partners, Solution Architects, Functional Teams, Business End Users, and Operations Teams), implement firewall flows or rules, and support security compliance, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of handling tickets raised in ServiceNow (SNOW) – including Incidents, Changes, and Service Requests for Firewall Flow Implementation – but also assist with troubleshooting and end-to-end testing for Alstom business users.
We’ll look to you for:
-
Implementing flows or rules on firewalls and performing logical post-validation after implementation.
-
Reviewing and optimizing firewall policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
-
Configuring and coordinating IPSEC VPN tunnels end-to-end.
-
Supporting security compliance and audits.
-
Managing security incident investigations and handling emergency flow opening requests with priority.
-
Documenting root cause analyses (RCA) and submitting corrective/preventive actions on time.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
-
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
-
3+ years of experience in firewall rule implementation, ideally with a basic understanding of IS and Network Security Policy frameworks.
-
Strong experience in flow implementation on Check Point and Fortinet Firewall Managers.
-
Knowledge of ISO 27002 Security Controls and security tools/mechanisms (e.g., IDS/IPS, antivirus, encryption).
-
Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
Familiarity with ITIL service processes and quality reviews.
-
Operational support and process documentation skills.
-
Ability to perform risk analysis and identify mitigation plans.
-
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting.
