Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in network design and security in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and highly skilled teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Alstom’s network ecosystem by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and robust network solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., IT teams, system administrators, security analysts, and business stakeholders), lead incident response efforts, and contribute to security awareness programs, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of developing comprehensive network architecture plans and implementing security technologies, but also ensure compliance with industry regulations and manage performance monitoring.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Designing and implementing secure network architectures, including LAN, WAN, SDWAN, and Zero Trust Access (ZTNA)

  • Developing and enforcing robust security policies and procedures

  • Deploying and configuring firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection

  • Monitoring network performance and optimizing for stability and availability

  • Managing escalations for critical technology issues and providing root cause analysis documentation

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business needs

  • Preparing dashboards to communicate progress on scope, schedules, and costs

  • Maintaining a knowledge management portal using MS SharePoint

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field

  • Expertise in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, routing protocols, MPLS)

  • Deep understanding of network security concepts (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems)

  • Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible)

  • Knowledge of cloud network security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE (preferred)

  • Experience in operational roles, such as NOC or IT, with a minimum of 6+ years

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with fluctuating priorities
