OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

 

  • Reporting directly to the Network Security Operations Manager, the Network Security Specialist  will be part of the Operations team Overseeing Day to Day operations working with Partners and Internal Stakeholders  involving – Incidents, Changes  and  Service requests for  all Network Security Services of Alstom
  •  Enhances security team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members
  • He/She should perform in depth diagnostics and troubleshooting using required Networking tools. He/She should assist Alstom business users with End to End testing or Troubleshooting of Networking  related to Network Security Services
  • He /She should be able to reproduce end user issues to verify problems and document steps as Knowledge base for other Support teams  and Operations teams in Alstom Network services.
  • He/She should ensure any actions performed is in compliance with Alstom IS Security policy regulations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Network Security Specialist is Operational support team specialist for all Network Security Operations under his/her responsibility

 

  • Firewalls Flow Opening Governance
  • Network Security Support Partner  - Service Delivery  and Partner Governance
  • Zscaler Cloud Proxy management and Operations management
  • Support in Security Compliance /Audit
  • Review  all ITIL Service Management process areas – Incidents, Changes, Service Requests, Events and Problem Management
  • Service Availability and Capacity Management
  • Interface with IS&T Business Solutions , Digital  and IS&T Technology & Services team  to have all queries handled and work on Service Improvement plan
  • Act as Front end for all support from Business for Network Security Services
  • Should have good experience in Business continuity Management Process.

 

 

He /She will interact on a regular basis with IS&T E2E PM, Local IS&T Business Partners, Solutions Architects, Functional team, Business end users and Operations teams

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • IT Support engineer having  8+ years of experience in managing Network Security Services End to End with Partner Management exposure , ideally with an basic understanding of  IS and Network Security Policy framework

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

 

The Network Security Specialist follow and comply with  below actions in line with the security policy in  all actions involved related to Firewall Flow Implementation Services.

 

  1. Firewalls( Fortinet/Checkpoint), Reverse Proxy, Cloud Proxy , IPS,SSL VPN , IPSEC VPN   - 5+ Years
  2. Firewall Orchestration Tools ( Skybox) -  2+ years
  3. Incident management – Manage Tickets raised by Alstom end users within configured Response and Resolution SLA –  5 Years
  4. Service Request Management/Changes  – Manage Service requests /Changes raised and approved by business for implementation as per SOP in place – 4 Years
  5. Problem Management – Ensure to document RCA and submit corrective and Preventive action on time with remediation – 4  Year
  6. CSI( Continual Service Improvement) and Tasks automation to  improve End user experience – Should be aware
  7. ITIL Service process /Quality reviews – Level 4
  8. Operational Support /Process documentation skills – Level 4
     

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

  • Should have good experience working on Firewalls, and operational management.
  •  Azure Cloud Network Component understanding
  •  Should Have Hands on Experience on Firewalls/Proxies
  • Good understanding of security tools and mechanisms (IDS/IPS, antivirus, anti-malware, authentication mechanisms, DNS, IPAM, PKI, encryption, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ISO 27002 Security Controls.
  • Network Security understanding of all components required for Organization security.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English language
  • IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for Reporting
  • Able to identify and document specific security issues, propose resolution options, and interpret matters from the perspective of involved stakeholders
  • Excellent written/verbal/communication, listening and facilitation skills
