India is one of the most promising transport markets in Asia Pacific region. As per the latest UNIFE forecast, the accessible market in India alone is estimated at close to 4B€ over the 2016-2018 period, with a growth rate of 6.6%. Alstom, with its strong footprint in India, is well positioned to address both the urban as well as mainline railway markets. Alstom’s manufacturing footprint in India - SriCity in Andhra Pradesh, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu and the upcoming facility at Madhepura in Bihar. This is coupled with an Engineering Centre of Excellence in Bangalore that works on projects for not only India, but the world. Alstom in India is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow. In the mainline space, Alstom is executing a section of the World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. The new Electric Locomotives that will be built at the upcoming Madhepura factory will be the most advanced in the Indian Railways fleet.
Network & Links: Reporting to Network Development Manager within IS&T Infrastructure Tower. In relation with Architects and Security and strategic Partners in charge of the delivery.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
You will be in charge of coordinating and administrating all aspects of the Network and Network Security Projects including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, reporting and controlling Project activities following defined processes, with strong adherence with the ongoing M&A.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Plan & organize Projects
- Plan/organize the delivery of the Project and its activities in accordance with the Global & Regional roadmaps, Governance process & standard IS&T operating model
- Contribute to optimize delivery model following defined sourcing strategy
- Propose & implement initiatives to optimize plan / cost / quality
- Ensure that Project activities follow standard methodology, process and tools
- Apply templates and records to document Project activities following our standards
- Partner engagement & partner management
- Staff Project
- Contribute to define the capacity plan, skill matrix
- Ensure that capacity plan for the Project are maintained timely
- Lead Project
- Contribute to the Project strategy definition
- Manage the Project plan – scope / resources and tasks
- Manage Project interdependencies
- Identify and mitigate risks – drive out barriers to success, escalate as needed
- Manage Project staff by providing direction, input and feedback
- Communicate with PL and other stakeholders in the region to gain community support for the Project and to solicit input to improve the Project
- Liaise with PL to ensure the effective and efficient Project delivery
- Project reporting / delivery status, timelines & cost
- Control Project
- Report Project status timely and following standards
- Ensure that the Project operate within the approved budget / scope
- Monitor all budgeted Project expenditures
- Ensure that all financial records for the Project are up to date
- Identify and evaluate the risks associated with Project activities and take appropriate action to control the risks
- Use the Project evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the Project and to identify areas for improvement (lessons learned)
- Update required tools in time and expected accuracy
- Plan & organize Projects
Qualifications & Skills:
EDUCATION
Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology, you have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in project management or IS&T Management (project management certifications preferred). You have a good understanding and experience of Network.
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
To be considered for this role, candidate need to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes:
- As a manager you demonstrate strong communication, leadership and change management skills. You are result oriented and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.
- Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in a global environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
- Strong Experience in project and program Management.
- IT Skills:
- PMP and ITBM tools required
- Network: LAN/WAN CISCO, WIFI, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, routing, IPAM
- Security: Firewall, advanced Internet access services
- General: WORD/EXCEL/PROJECT on Windows.
- Position open in India (Bangalore mandatory), travel to France and other region (limited)
