Purpose of the job:

LSA Engineer/manager is the main interlocutor with other Engineering and ILS function (Technical Documentation, RAMS, Design Engineering, System architect, etc.…) with purpose to capture all information that can influence the maintenance strategy. LSA manager Influence the Design for integration maintainability constraint and considerate logistic support constraint to influence the design of Equipment

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Key accountabilities:

  • Identify the performance allocation in compliancy with DFS target.
  • Define maintenance plan and design of LSA elements (MTA, LCC, LORA, RCM)
  • Define special tools for first provisional (LAI)
  • Validation of support solution and associated maintenance documentation or training toolkit.
  • Capitalize data in central ILS repository (ILS PDM)
  • Ensure technical interfaces with RS and Components teams (RAMS Architect, mechanical, electrical & system architect, sourcing, LSA for equipment and from suppliers)
  • Ensure REX is collected and considered,
  • Elaborate maintenance plan
  • Manage relationship with sourcing for ILS requirement clauses linked to sourcing concern.
  • Review supplier design proposals

  • Preparing 3d maintainability analysis report.

  • Concept design development of tools

  • Interpreting depot design interface for special tools analysis

  • Tools demonstration to customer

  • Preparing all other plans which are specific to project requirement.

  • Supporting tender team as per requirement on special tool


  • Promote usage of standard ILS practice compliant with international standard or Alstom central procedure and Method & Tool
  • Capitalize data to improve QCD on future project.

Performance measurements

  • Quality of LSA deliverable.
  • Control of QCD target.
  • Customer satisfaction.


Educational Requirements

  • Mandatory : Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Desirable : Maintenance Specialization
