Independent Product Safety Engineer

IPS Engineers are a pool of RSE Experts spread across Train Development sites to support the projects, with a focus onProduct Safety.
They will be responsible to:

• Manage his/her own time schedule in corodination withthe Head IPS
• Support and monitor resolution of K1 & critical K2 for his/ her regions or in coordination with other IPS regions
• Attend Project Safety Reviews as Independent reviewers
• Support, when requested the projects in front of thecustomer or any authority
• Provide, on a limited scale and duration, technical expertise to projects to address critical issues requiring SME support

Profile

• Minimum expeience of 10 years in RS Engineering
• Relevant knowledge of vehicle design, maintenance andhomologation
• Proven ability to identify critical issues and takeownership of their solutions
• Significant experience in international projects and knwledgeable of Safety Engineering
• Inside recognition of one or more domains of expertise
• Fluent in English
• Ability to integrate, supprt and if necessary, lead one ormore ad-hoc teams
• Electrical and/ or Mechanical and /or Functional Engineering applied to Railway products
