The Local IS&T Business Partner, reporting to the Regional IS&T Business Partner is responsible for managing local IS&T support services and works on local business relationship with regional partners.


Key accountabilities:


The Local IS&T Business Partner is accountable for:

  • Follow up of on site support reporting and KPIs
  • Site IS&T performance
  • Compliance of Service Delivery with SLA (with contract manager in the operations team)
  • Site action plan if requested (performance issue, cost reduction i.e)
    • Manage local on site support Services (IS & IT) partners on your perimeter:
      • Manage partner activities and monitors performance
      • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance plans and Service Agreements linked to contracts
      • Formalize issues, follow up and escalation with operations teams
      • Contribute to incident and problem management (led by operations team)
      • Liaise with local management (including site MDs) to deal with major incidents / crisis
      • Approve service requests depending on validation workflows
      • Identify needs for end user training / tutorials
      • The local partner perimeter (or influence area) may include one or several sites in one or several countries
    • Work on local business relationship with regional partners:
      • Collect local demands, promote global services and solutions, ensure overall satisfaction
      • Could participate to site workshop if IS&T needs to be represented (local cost reduction actions i.e)
    • Participate to the Sites Management Committees
    • Additional Activities include local budget management and participation in audit activities for IT
  • He / She will interact on a regular basis with Regional IS&T Business Partner, IS&T Business Partners PMO, Solutions Architects, Projects teams, Operations teams and Local Management.
  • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.


Educational Requirements 


  • Engineering degree, preferably in information technology
  • MBA from premium B-School (Preferred)




  • 6-7 years of proven experience in business facing role.
  • Proven experience in end user support.
  • Experience in handling IT Infrastructure (Network, Cloud & Compute) and application support. 
  • Good understaing of business demand management
  • Experience working in a matrix organistaion with multiple stakeholders
