Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. POSITION OVERVIEW

Alstom India will undergo a major transformation over next few years.  On strategic & organizational front with implementation of AIM, PM2020, Integration of all operation activities of RS Sites under 1 umbrella,  with massive ramp up of our manufacturing sites over next 3 years (x3 in volume for RSC hours reaching 3 Million hours per year).

The role of India for Alstom  will represent 25% to 30% from Engineering to Manufacturing.

It’s therefore vital for the company to structure, deploy, monitor that transformation.

This role will encompass 3 major activities:

1. Defining, cascading the Alstom in Motion (AIM) strategy to all functions in RSC India through strong convention from the employees.

2. Will implement a full structured APSYS deployment for all RS&C activities, and ensure best practice sharing

3. Will lead simplification, improvement, of all transversal processes impacting the performance of Organization between Eng, Indus, Sourcing, Supply Chain.  The processes that are needed to be adapted / created for India specific organization and growth will have to be defined in collaboration with Central team.  Move from Métier silo to real cross functional team

For those three activities, with strong team of Experts & Black belt, he / she will build the strategic road map with the team through gap analysis, ensuring the deployment through proper governance, regular animation of strategic performance through exclusive KPIs and rendering relevant support to the stakeholders to be in line with their strategy.

This job is the right arm of MD position.  Failing in implementing quickly the transformation will put full RSC business at risk,  first not being able to execute our backlog ( 2 & 3 activity), and then not capturing new orders (Through fundamental & structural initiatives  of AIM transformation).  Impact in 100 of MEUROs.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

Will report hierarchically to India Industrial Director.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Articulate the company’s mission, vision and strategy plan in a clear and concise way
  • Define road map to accomplish the AIM strategy with clear KPIs and periodic governance.
  • Create actionable goals that make it possible to turn that mission into tangible results.
  • Drive and ensure governance of strategic deployment across the company through 100% digitalization.
  • Periodic review with the management team articulating gaps to close towards defined AIM strategy (Startegy, organization, people, process & tools).
  • Animating different communities in the region & make the link with global team.
  • Communicate the company’s official stance on its mission to external sources and internally to all personnel.
  • Promotes and enables collaboration and information sharing between RS&C sites
  • Lead all RS&C Leaders toward continuous improvement mindset, aligning all functions toward the same goal
  • Monthly/weekly gap analysis on people structure & process.
  • Working with RS&C Site management team on strategic transformation based on the APSYS guidelines.
  • Support RSC functions in bringing quality consciousness through APSYS ways of working in all the deployment thereby bring RFT in DNA.
  • Drive cross functional team to streamline our key cross functional processes end to end (REX, P2P, RC management, NC management ….)
  • Liaison with Central Team for the process enhancements specific to India Organization

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

EDUCATION

  • Master’s degree (technical/administrative)
  • Expert in Lean, Quality, Strategic deployment (management committee members, senior manager, Senior Project manager…)

  • Must have at least 10 years experience in Operations, APSYS, strategic planning, Driving Process in RS&C.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English language
  • IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
