Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals.

You'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our engineering performance by leading a team of experts, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, and HR), set team goals and strategies, and ensure alignment with our broader organizational objectives.

You’ll specifically take care of developing and maintaining métier/domain competencies and coaching your team, but also defining and governing your group’s strategy with stakeholders.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Agreeing and implementing team guidelines, including growth plans, skills development, and discipline evolution in technology and competitiveness.

  • Developing and maintaining world-class engineering expertise within your team.

  • Setting clear team goals, delegating tasks, and establishing deadlines.

  • Providing support for team activity execution and promoting Alstom’s values within your team.

  • Preparing and hosting management reviews to ensure alignment and accountability.

  • Managing workload and capacity to meet business strategies and reporting status to the department head.

  • Deploying ALM4A process, methods, and tools, and providing feedback for process reviews.

  • Managing staffing, including hiring and recruitment processes, and overseeing work packages and budgets.

  • Continuously motivating, evaluating, training, and developing team members in collaboration with HR.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related scientific field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Experience in engineering and process management.

  • Understanding of project/program execution and effort estimation.

  • Knowledge of Alstom platforms and governance models.

  • Experience in multicultural and international environments.

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification (desirable).

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.

  • Organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on decision-making and prioritization.

  • Capability in data analysis, performance reporting, and process improvement.

  • Experience in leading diverse and global teams.
