Job Title : GSS Catalog Manager

 

Purpose of the Job

The Catalog Manager has the responsibility to implement the Indirect Sourcing commodity strategy on e-Catalogs, for a defined scope: geographies x commodities. 
He / she is accountable to implement and maintain the adequate coverage of operational needs by the catalog offer in his / her scope, by implementing new catalogs, new items. 
He / she is accountable for the correct setup of the e-Catalog system in his / her scope.
He / she is in charge of developing the usage of eCatalog in his scope by leading appropriate initiatives: communication, Supplier training, KU training, KU animation.
He / she is accountable to define and achieve SLA targets (service levels) in his / her scope
He / she is in charge of day to day governance of eCatalog in his / her scope. He / she perfoms process and system analysis and suggests improvements.
The list of commodities eligible to e-Catalogs includes : office Supplies and Furniture, Production consumables, Catalogue Tooling and equipment, IT supplies and Personal Protection Equipment.

Reports to the Procurement content manager

 

Key network and links

-Strong links with the CM/RCM in charge of catalog commodities, with the buyer's team
- Network inside the requesters community
- Strong relationship with the BPO

 

Performance measurement

SLA achievements compared to target objectives for his scope, including customer satisfaction
-Ramp-up objectives defined for his scope (catalogs implementation plan) 

 

Responsibilities

Supplier relationship:
•    Manage operational relationship with the supplier 
•    Monitors global QCDT targets achievement, in particular in ramp-up phase 
•    Is involved in disputes resolution together with buyer team, to ensure seamless activity and expected level of service to the business
Commodity support:
Interface with the Commodity Management team by sharing analysis on his / her scope (needs, market, KPIs)
Contributes to build differentiation for Alstom by promoting and integrating supplier innovation in his / her scope
User interface :
•    Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
•    Applies Alstom processes & provides return on experience
Catalogs implementation
•    In his scope, he / she has a Project manager role, and is the point of contact for all stakeholders regarding the catalog implementation process.
•    He / she monitors the planning of catalogs integration, new items implementation,  and implements appropriate mitigation plans in case of issues.
•    He / she is in charge of monitoring all activities until the achievements of the business objectives, ramp-up included, with all the relevant stakeholders (CM/RCM, BPO, IST, ARIBA, Vendor, buyers) 
•    He / she is in charge of performing configuration tasks in the system (Master data modification, run tests, system setup)
Support :
•    Owns a strong functional knowledge of the eCatalog system (process and tools)
•    Trains buyers when necessary
•    Animates the network of KUs in his scope. Plans and implement training session for KUs in his scope
•    Answers support request L2, performs diagnostics, is able to monitor L3 tickets until resolution 

 

Educational requirements

Bachelor Engineering Degree  or Business school.  

 

Technical knowledge / experience

5+  years of experience
Professional background: IT consultant or eBusiness responsibilities (sourcing or customer side). Functional expertise of a procurement system would be a plus. 
Knowledge of IT Operations processes and related process improvement
