Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a key role in leveraging Alstom Transport’s purchasing power to reduce total acquisition costs while ensuring alignment with quality, delivery, and engineering objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, and Engineering), negotiate with suppliers, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of supplier performance reviews and ensuring project execution aligns with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) objectives, but also support commodity strategies and represent commodities in projects.
We’ll look to you for:

Utilizing the supply panel defined by the Commodity Manager for new purchase orders

Deploying commodity strategies

Negotiating cost reductions with suppliers

Ensuring QCD targets, CONQ (Cost of Non-Quality), and claims management
-
Leading supplier QCD performance reviews
-
Supporting commodity managers during tender phases
-
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to solve problems effectively
-
Applying Alstom Transport’s sourcing processes and providing feedback for continuous improvement

A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Material Management is a plus)

5-7 years of experience in direct procurement, particularly in transport or automotive industries

Understanding of metallic and casting developments with manufacturing process knowledge

Knowledge of SAP and SAP ARIBA
-
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills
-
An international and multi-cultural mindset

Fluency in English

The ability to work in a matrix organization
