PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Project Controlling Lead will manage the controlling and financial reporting of projects in accordance with internal control rules and ensures project accounting is in accordance with Company guidelines and ensure consistency with project teams. He or She:

  • GFC Project Controlling lead, with the support of a Senior FPM, manages finances for projects rated No/Low/Medium criticality, in order to improve the project overall performance.
  • Provide financial analysis, advice and guidance to support the project team in making the best business decisions for the project.
  • Support a Senior FPM in Financial Strategy implementation.
  • Support a Work Controllers/Project Manager in risks and opportunities process and sign-off contingencies/committed savings.

MAIN RES MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES PONSABILITIES

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Analyze variances between standard and actual costs and report findings.
  • Checks and controls cost movements monthly. Presents all financial data in a transparent way. Control the interflows of Internal purchased orders.
  • Develop and maintain accurate MHR models based on direct and indirect labour costs. Analyse time tracking, payroll, and overhead data to determine cost per labour hour.
  • Ensure coherence between  MBOM (Manufacturing BOM) used for EAC (Estimate at Completion) validation and financial actuals + future engagements.
  • Launch/follow any necessary action with other metier in project team: buyer, logistic, engineering, industrial quality to enrich data in ERP division for manufacturing and purchase order
  • Manage risks, savings, and opportunities effectively. Identify cost-saving opportunities and alert deviations from budget/forecast.
  • Manage SAP/GSI transactions and ensure data accuracy in ERP systems.
  • Monitor & forecast revenue and gross margins arising from the project, setting control environment for the revenue and margin management.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts across projects and the production units.
  • Monthly Analysis of Actual Cost incurred and compare with the Forecast and analysing the Gaps.
  • Prepare and justify the EAC for validation during Project Reviews, maintaining detailed records.
  • Provides all WP financial reporting and benchmark by products family: average cost, productivity, ratio, CONQ evolution, Cost by Unit.
  • Reconcile approved project financial data in ODYC and books.
  • Reforecast and reconcile cost to completion; monitor WIP vs targets.
  • Review and validate production order costing and consumption of raw materials.
  • Review and validate QCD performance vs commitment for WP to be delivered by PL and provide gap analysis (scope of change, performance variance, improper costing at tender stage)
  • Review BOM evolution monthly by subsystem, material category, and supplier. Perform root cause analysis for MBOM gaps, line-by-line. Review purchase price and material rate variances.
  • Validate cost valuations (purchase, allocation of fixed/unabsorbed costs). Monitor and forecast Non-recuring Cost, project revenue and gross margins.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations with hands-on experience in managing general ledger and accounting entries. Proficient in tracking transactions across inventory, work-in-progress (WIP), and cost accounting systems.
  • Skilled in analysing financial data, ensuring accurate postings, and maintaining compliance with reporting standards. A reliable asset for roles that demand precision and operational insight.

 

Business Partnering:

  • Interface with Project Sourcing Manager on cost evolution in coordination with cost managers and project controller and challenges 
  • Works closely with Project controller, local accounting teams and central controlling teams.
  • Act as an interface with Operations especially Project Procurement manager and cost managers on follow up of cost evolution related to WP, cost reduction opportunities …
  • Alert of any cost drift and productivity deterioration

People management:

  • Manage  team of 2-5 members on their deliverables and support to the work controllers.
  • Review and validate the accuracy of the scope of work prepared by team members.
  • Continuously improve processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of project controlling.
  • Team capability assessment, development and upskilling.
  • Coaching the team and identifying synergies, competency assessments, trainings.
  • Management of CEBU/BANGALORE Finance/BI efficiency team for BOM/Procurement Project

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • CA & CMA with below experience

Desirable:

  • Fluency in other languages is a plus

Experience

 

Mandatory:

  • 8-10 years of relevant finance experience (see below)
  • Prior project Manufacturing & Project Controlling experience
  • Experience in Product Costing, BOM Cost, MHR Calculation and other Cost Analytical skills.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Strong People Management skills

Desirable:

  • Power BI, VBA & Macros etc.
