Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Financial Analysts ensure that Alstom makes sound financial decisions. Our team of Financial Analysts foster the financial health of our organization by partnering closely with our various functions, tracking performance metrics and creating financial models. A master juggler working on multiple projects at a time, you maintain a consistently high level of attention to detail while finding creative ways to tackle financial challenges. As part of the Europe Finance team you will use data to provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. Using your technical skills, business acumen and creativity, you will develop analysis and insights to help business partners understand project and site performance and the effectiveness of associated campaigns, while also providing recommendations to shape their business decisions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide analysis files to Europe local finance teams for the financial KPIs (backlog, P&L, Free cash flow, Operating working capital, overdues and Operation data)
  • Provide a 1st level of analysis on those KPIs
  • Actively prepare and contribute to the elaboration of the monthly Business reviews and to the budget reviews.
  • Support units and internal customers by answering to their everyday questions
  • Contribute to transversal initiatives such as tool development, trainings, best practices sharing.
  • Perform the cost follow-up of the Europe Central Management Unit and the reporting for the monthly closing
  •  This list is not exhaustive and new missions can be added based on your interests once you will have mastered the basic ones.

  • Constant contact with project, operations, reporting teams and top management
  • Develop you IT Skills (Excel, BI, SAP)
  • Everyday use of financial KPIs: Free cash flow, working capital but also Sales, Gross Margin and much more

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

We are looking for a top talent to be our next Sr. FP&A Analyst. Ideally, a successful candidate

  • University Master in Corporate Finance or Treasury, Business school (MBA, CA, CMA etc)
  • 2 years professional experience, preferably in corporate environment
  • You are curious, striving to learn and to develop
  • You have strong interest in Excel and PowerPoint and a working knowledge
  • You are rigorous and organized and you like to innovate to solve problems
  • English is mandatory. French optional.

 

EDUCATION

 

Post graduate or above in Finance

Language: English (mandatory)

  • Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes
  • Knowledge of IFRS

  • SAP-FICO end-user Knowledge of SAP/related Finance tools
  • Working knowledge of BW/BI and consolidation system
  • Process management skills in other areas like Inter-company, AP

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

  • 2 years professional experience, preferably in corporate environment, preferably in an EPC industry.
