Purpose of the Job

Manage all financial aspect of a project such as accounting, reporting, cost control, budget. Well integrated into project team and support all work package owners. Ensure compliance with FI’s and Alstom RAM

.

Reports functionally to : Site or Project Managing Director

Internal: Finance community, Internal Auditors, Project Team, Bid / Tender team / Commercial Department

External: Statutory Auditors, Suppliers, Customers

 

Mission

Objective

  • To ensure accuracy of actuals and Estimate To Complete data at the Project level
  • To ensure the economic and financial management of the project, following company procedures and ensuring risks and opportunities are managed to optimize the project financial targets
  • Supports the Project Manager and the Project Team in the controlling/financial management of the project

 

Measurement

  • Compliance with ALSTOM rules & processes
  •  Quality and accuracy of CPR/RPR financial data and Monthly Project reviews
  •  Meeting financial targets of the project
  • Project Gross and Net Margins accuracy
  • Project Cash
  •  Reporting is accurate and on time

Educational Requirements

  • Finance or Accounting degree required

 

Technical Knowledge / Experience

  • Experience in project cost control, budgeting and forecasting or work package controlling
  • Interest for technical projects and products
  • Good business acumen
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and SAP (PS and FI module mainly)
  • Ability to use integrated financial systems
  •  

Core Skills

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Finance knowledge

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and drive efficiency in core Finance processes such as P&Ls, financial planning and performance reporting
  • Lead the thought process on annual budgeting, forecasting, cash drive and cost optimization initiatives
  • Spearhead development of tools and data infrastructure to measure the effectiveness of different KPIs for a range of audiences, mainly senior executives
  • Control of corporate functions Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Communications
  • Control of APAC HQ management unit
  • The Sr. FP&A Analyst will work closely with the following key teams:

  • Country and Site Finance teams across the APAC businesses in India, Australia, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam and Philippines
  • Group HQ Finance teams based out of Paris, France
  • Specialized Finance teams of Treasury, Accounting and Finance Transformation
  • Cross functional Region Leadership teams based out of Singapore and India
  • Strong team player

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

We are looking for a top talent to be our next Sr. FP&A Analyst. Ideally, a successful candidate

  • comes from a top school with a Masters/ professional degree in Finance/ Accounting, preferably an MBA
  • has 5-7 years of Controlling experience in a large MNC from FMCG, Technology or engineering/ automotive/ aviation/ railway industry or in companies engaged in construction contracts/ long term service agreements
  • has a proven track record of fast paced growth and excellence in their professional and academic experience
  • can display a superior degree of cultural intelligence and work with peers from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • can deliver presentations to senior management and communicate effectively at all levels of the Organization
  • is a passionate problem solver and able to self-direct work in an unstructured environment

 

EDUCATION

 

Post graduate or above in Finance

Language: English (mandatory)

  • Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes
  • SAP-FICO end-user Knowledge of SAP/related Finance tools
  • Working knowledge of BW/BI and consolidation system
  • Past experience in involvement in Internal/External Audits 
  • Desirable

  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Process management skills in other areas like Inter-company, AP
  • Experience in integration projects from operating unit to FSSC or BPO
  • Experience in automations, Yellow Belt, Green Belt projects
