As part of the development of innovative traction systems using energy storage systems, the Alstom Bangalore site is strengthening its ESS department. We work across disciplines to transform improved hardware and software elements into a single, integrated design.

The Role

ESS Project Technology Transfer Manager represents ESS Engineering group among project core team and his/her mission is lead Transfer of Technology and Industrial Management activities specific to Traction and Auxiliary energy storage systems. Main objectives of role include:

  • Manage TT Team. Achieve Project and Tender QCD objectives for Technology Transfer.
  • Manage Industrial Management Plan (IMP), Transfer Document, Training and Assistance plans.
  • Contribute to improve process efficiency and active data sharing (best practices, REX )
  • Ensure TT common way of working and to use of TT best practice.
  • Develop and maintain common TT data Library (processes, tools, contract).

 

Main Responsibilities

Accountability and responsibility include : -

  • Set-up industrial organization of the project (staffing, work package, tools).
  • Connect and coordinate Donor and Receiver metier stakeholders.
  • Working with donor to set up, execute and maintain TT Plans covering all industrial activities (PME, Production, Testing, Quality, Supply Chain, Assistance to sub-contractor).
  • Working with donor to analyse transfer risk and drive related action plan.
  • Lead the team to ensure execution of Transfer in accordance to Q, C, D targets (example: Demerits, NCR, MPS accuracy, industrial costs)
  • Perform technical exchanges with the design and industrial teams. Develop TT understanding and competencies over sites and métiers.
  • Identifie technical risks, and ensures they are covered by dedicated action plan agreed by Platform and Metiers.
  • Manage TT Team, IMP, IMP validation, Transfer Document, Training and Assistance.
  • Ensure Transfer activities are performed within AT EHS standards.
  • Deploy and propose improvement of TT Standards and Processes.
  • Ensure the capitalization of feedback on reference solutions or document repositories of the business.

 

Qualification, Knowledge & Experience

  • BTech/ MTech degree in engineering.
  • Experience in management of industrial projects QCD, familiar with IS common tools
  • Project experience in the advanced chemistry railway/automobile traction and auxiliary batteries would be appreciated.
  • Strong knowledge of technical project management and engineering/industrial development cycles (V-cycle, quality reviews, ...)
  • Multitasking and proactive, ability to think analytically, accuracy and timeliness
  • Orientation to achieve the set goals
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to work in the ERP SAP system
  • Detailed knowledge of the products architecture, operation and performances.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) required for internal and external communications.
