Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive software development and team management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in managing resources and competencies within the TCMS Software engineering domain, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to standard methodologies and processes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Train Control Engineers, Verification & Validation Engineers, and Sub-System Managers, to deliver high-quality solutions on time, while also fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
You’ll specifically take care of workload management and team development, but also ensure the traceability and configuration of tools used by your team.
We’ll look to you for:

Proactively monitoring project progress and implementing mitigation actions to address potential delays

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Extensive hands-on experience in the complete software development life cycle across multiple projects

Experience managing a team of 5 or more engineers for at least 3 years
-
Knowledge of train systems, including system analysis and railway operations
-
Experience with IEC61131-3 software development or model-based development tools like Controlbuild or MATLAB/Simulink
-
Familiarity with real-time, distributed controllers and real-time network protocols (e.g., MVB, CIP, Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS485)
-
Ability to manage work packages for sub-contractors
-
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
