Purpose of the Job
- He/she manages the resources, in the broad sense, required by a Project to execute engineering activities of TCMS Software
- He/she supports consistent development of competencies required for this domain, following the right methodologies and tools
- He/she ensures the application of the standard processes in MPU Software Development

Responsibilities
Accountable for :
- Set clear directions and objectives for your team, aligning them with the broader organizational goals.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork by caring for all team members, providing constructive feedback and acting fairly in all interactions.
- Identify key milestones, principal activities and assign responsibilities to ensure project success.
- Proactively monitor the progress of activities to identify potential delays and implement mitigation actions to prevent or minimize their impact.
- Managing the traceability and configuration of tools used by his/her team.
- Identify and nurture talent within the team, recognizing and fostering the potential of team members.
Responsible for :
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to thoroughly comprehend the requirements and constraints within our domain/metier. Facilitate discussions and gather essential insights to inform decision-making.
- Develop comprehensive communication action plans that consider target audiences and defined objectives, ensuring effective dissemination of information.
- Identify and address conflicts of interest within the domain/metier, maintaining composure and confidence during resolution processes.
- Maintain an optimistic outlook while critically challenging project estimations to ensure realistic timelines and resource allocation.
- Drive your team to analyze lessons learned (REX) across projects and apply these insights to continuous improvement efforts. Develop and mentor team members within their respective roles.
- Organize and delegate tasks efficiently to ensure optimal resource utilization and project progress.
- Use appropriate forms of communication (verbal, written, text, graphic, formal, informal) with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective information exchange.
- Recognize and escalate issues based on their criticality, involving yourself when necessary to defuse volatile situations and find resolutions.
Job Specifications
Knowledge & Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience in the complete software development life cycle across two or more projects, including requirement gathering, analysis, architecture design, and integration with at least 12 years of experience.
- Managed a team of 5 to 8 engineers to ensure the achievement of QCD KPIs (at least 3 years).
- Train system knowledge (system analysis, railways) (at least 2 years),
- Experience in developing in IEC61131-3 (FBD, ST and SFC) software or using model-based development tools like Controlbuild, MATLAB / Simulink etc.
- Familiarity with real-time, distributed controllers and their functioning.
- Knowledge of real time network protocols like MVB, CIP, Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS485 etc
- Managing work packages for sub-contractors.
