Job Title & Purpose

  • Job Title: EDU Manager- EHI

 Purpose of the Job

  • He/she manages Electrical Harness installation resources and activities on the project he/she is responsible.
  • He/she is responsible of the electrical deliveries for each electrical baseline of the project he/she contributing to.
  • Build and develop the EHI technical competency in the Team.

Position in the Organisation

  • Direct reporting to EHI Domain leader

Network & Links

Integrated in a multi métier team for project or product (concurrent engineer).

He/she is in permanent link with the CDL, TEE, of the project. He is also in direct link with mechanical designer, Electrical Routing designer and Advanced Industrialisation.

He /She can be in link with central team on multi-sites and transversals activities (tools deployment, WoW sharing…)

Mission

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Accountable for:

  • Delivery of the right product at the right moment to the project Train Electrical Engineer, the product consisting into the complete electrical case or a set of electrical deliverables for each baseline and retrofit made of :
  • Harness Design workload on his/her project/tender,
  • Applying of the Metier rules and processes

Responsible for:

  • Delivery of harness 3D models from mechanical integration,
  • Managing the EHI QCD of his/her project,
  • Managing the EHI work-load of his/her project, and effective utilization of Harness designer
  • Sub-contracting management (definition, monitoring, acceptance)

Monitors, controls and consolidates her/his work package. As such:

    • Organizes and leads her/his work package reviews for the project he/she is in charge,
    • Manages Risk, Assessment and Mitigation Plan,
    • Reports her/his targets to Domain Leader (Quality Cost Delivery consolidation and risks).
    • Organizes Design / Verification reviews and provides the associated reports.
    • Supports industrialization during manufacturing ramp-up.

Candidate Requirements

Educational Requirements: B. Tech / M. Tech Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Experience

  • 12 + Years of relevant industrial experience in Harness design and routing, Sheet metal design
  • Good Knowledge in developing concepts in CATIA V5 for parts, different subsystem, Mountings and Vehicle Architecture of different rail products.
  • Electrical and electro technique engineering knowledge,
  • Experience in activity management (at least 2 years),
  • Team management (at least 2 years)
