Ergonomics engineer
Purpose of the Job/Objective
Ergonomics Engineer will participate in project/offer development through the application of internal procedures, instructions and guidelines of the domain and has to be operative on the following activities:
• Ergonomics analysis of Rail Operation Control Centres, Workstations, Signalling network stations, Operator’s workplace, in the frame of tenders and projects, Heuristic assessment of display interface, Human factors studies : workload and risk assessment
• Usability assessment with end users
• Preparation, analysis and interpretation of REX results
• R&D under the coordination of Core Competence Network

Performance Measurement/KPI’s:

Responsibilities:
- Contributor to all AT programs & projects facing technical Issues in ergonomics and Human factors related fields
- Responsible for expertise in the domain of ergonomics, recommendation for diagrams, design of workstation, workplace layout, HMI, thermal comfort, lighting and acoustics
- Responsible for specification of user needs in terms of thermal comfort and Lighting requirements.
- Responsible for specification for display
- Accountable for measurements done in Lighting and acoustics
- Responsible for platform, pre-projects and projects, simulations for workplace accessibility and reachability. Write reports that summarize the results before SGR. Provide simulation that valid the performance before PGR. Develop and promote the use of mock-up for the definition of control centre and workplace layout.
- Responsible to define and deploy the process and tools to design control centres
- Contributor for the definition of Engineering instruction, guidelines and DRCL
- Contributor to develop relationship with Region and Platform to get REX about similar architecture and validation of simulated solution
- Contributor for the development of relationship with University
- Contributor to perform active technical watch
- Responsible to report on a regular basis the progress of the different activities
- Responsible to provide support and expertise ergonomics methodologies, assessment
- Accountable of Ergonomics report delivery
- Accountable for the engineering QCD
Knowledge & Experience :
- Methodologies for ergonomics : tasks analysis, questionnaire definition, interview, synthesis, RULA, REBA
- Workload analysis (NASA-TLX), Human error (Sherpa), Human reliability analysis (for example THERP, HEART, ..)
- Standard & regulation: ISO 11064, ISO 9241
- Communication skills at least in English and if possible, in French
- Former lead engineer
- At least 2 years of experience in R&D, Design in Aeronautical,Automotive, Nuclear or Railways engineering department
- Good communication skills, pro-activity, team working, strategicvision
- English conversational/writing/reading advanced level
