Purpose of the Job

Responsible for leading digital team and coordinating digital initiatives within an organization. Work with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives and track progress.

 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to build and execute digital roadmap, managing budgets, transformation plan, and global stakeholder alignment
  • Understand current Alstom technology and domain and propose execution model inline with Digital standards
  • Review existing internal business processes and identify areas of improvement
  • Propose the System/Product specifications aligned with digital Solutions needs and requirements, in coordination with other solution team as needed, ensuring safety , Cyber security & quality, application competitiveness, customer orientation and innovation 
  • Manage, control and execute timely all developments related to his/her digital activities (performances, planning/delivery, cost, risks, savings) and in compliance with the approved QCD commitments • Manage all Gate Reviews /Management reviews, coordinate all digital work packages from bangalore to meet overall QCD commitments
  • Ensure that his/her System/Product is easily deployable by Projects and supported by a comprehensive and efficient set of standard tools, procedures, training material and documentation (deployment kit)
  • Optimize and measure System/Product performances
  • Drive and make decisions for issues that affect performance, with validation from Digital task force for any modification that affects deployment cost, planning, and performances of the System/Product  • Be responsible for Digital work packages related to the System/Product. Prepare and present his/her program reviews during Development Center Reviews, Transformation roadmap approval, as defined in the Management cycle. Ensure that decisions are implemented as per Steering committee and transformation
  • Coordinate work of other entities (industrialization, sourcing, finance,…) related to digital program/Project
  • Operationally manage the Métier resources allocated to the program/Project, provide leadership and ensure that the program/Project teams fulfil efficiently its duties, including Projects technical support. Identification of training needs and competency analysis of Digital/Non digital roles.
  • Specific to Digital Management:  
  • According to Development Center organization, may manage directly Digital program,/project at Bangalore location
  • Specifically for Program/Projects: o Be (with support of Digital Architect)  Work package Owner of BLR Digital activity and work packages (QCD commitment)

 

Qualification and Skills:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor/Post Graduate in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE & EEE or Equivalent

 

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization
  • Outstanding Technical leader with proven track record in managing multi software programs towards successful delivery.
  • Be Innovative and demonstrate to peers and implement in creation of Reference Libraries, reusable codes, and model based developments
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization.
  • Team Player with prior experience in working with European customer is not mandatory but preferable                                                    

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

  • 10-12 years of experience in managing Digital products / projects development and deployment. PMP certification will be a added advantage.
  • The ideal candidate should have good experience in Digital Project Management and application deployment on virtualization and cloud infrastructure preferably Azure platform.
  • Experience is leading team/s in multisite environment.
