Could you be the full-time DCS N&IT Architect in Bangalore we’re looking for?

 

 

  • Your future role

    Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive networking and IT expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

    You'll play a key role in delivering complete Network and IT/AVP specifications and designs consistent with the System Delivery Plan and contractual requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as subsystem leads, signalling architects, and program teams), lead technical decision-making processes, and ensure compliance with engineering rules and project milestones.

    You’ll specifically take care of designing and reviewing N&T Backbone Transmission Network (BTN) specifications and ensuring alignment with cybersecurity and network standards, but also support installation, testing, and commissioning activities when required.

    We’ll look to you for:

    • Delivering efficient Network and IT/AVP design documents aligned with defined architecture and methods

    • Providing technical direction and expertise on Alstom DCS solutions and technologies

    • Collaborating with global teams and facilitating the exchange of information

    • Leading and coordinating detailed design activities, including configuration, surveys, and validation

    • Contributing to proof-of-concept studies and evaluating new design capabilities

    • Providing training and sharing technical expertise within teams and sites

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent, with 10-12 years of relevant experience (postgraduate diploma specialization can be considered if experience is relevant)

    • Proven experience in LAN/WAN design and deployment of Gigabit Ethernet and IP-MPLS solutions

    • Knowledge of virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hypervisor), network security, and cybersecurity concepts

    • Familiarity with monitoring tools, traffic analysis, and IP techniques

    • A CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent certification

    • Strong understanding of RFC protocols, IP routing, and network design principles

    • Experience with major telecom suppliers (e.g., HP, Cisco, Hirschmann, Huawei) and wireless systems (Wi-Fi, Tetra, LTE) is a plus
