Could you be the full-time Cybersecurity Engineer in Bangalore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your cybersecurity expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the security of our transportation systems, helping us deliver safe and reliable solutions to our customers. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, and global cybersecurity teams), support the evaluation of COTS products, and provide technical solutions tailored to project needs, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of implementing and maintaining cybersecurity architecture during project execution, but also deploying and configuring security devices and systems.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Implementing and maintaining cybersecurity architecture in line with design directives and project requirements

  • Supporting the evaluation of COTS products to meet project needs (e.g., syslogger, IDS, IPS, firewall, SIEM, etc.)

  • Executing security engineering tasks, including deploying, configuring, and hardening devices such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, servers, routers, and switches

  • Participating in design reviews with a cybersecurity perspective and challenging technical choices

  • Providing support for technical issues, customer queries, and incident response

  • Collaborating across traditional engineering functions and interfacing with the global Alstom cybersecurity technical team for new developments

  • Supporting tender teams on cybersecurity products/solutions for Alstom bids in the railway domain


All about you

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology and security

  • Experience or understanding of embedded or industrial systems (e.g., railway, aeronautics)

  • Hands-on experience with security products (e.g., IDS/IPS, Sysloggers, WIPS, SIEM, Firewalls)

  • Knowledge of security protocols (e.g., RADIUS, VPN, IP-SEC, SSH)

  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and tools for log/event and packet analysis (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump)

  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., GICSP, CISSP, GSEC, CISM) are desirable

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Knowledge of networking and network design is an added advantage
