Could you be the full-time Cybersecurity Engineer in [Bangalore] we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your robust cybersecurity and information technology expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and solution-oriented teammates.

You'll implement and maintain our cybersecurity architecture during project execution, ensuring alignment with design directives and project contractual requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as engineering, customer service, and tender teams), execute security engineering tasks, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of the deployment, configuration, and hardening of security devices, but also participate in design reviews from a cybersecurity perspective.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Supporting the evaluation of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products to meet project needs.

  • Executing security engineering tasks, including the deployment and configuration of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and other security devices.

  • Participating in design reviews with a focus on cybersecurity, challenging technical choices when necessary.

  • Providing support for technical issues, customer queries, and incident response.

  • Collaborating across traditional engineering functions to ensure a cohesive security approach.

  • Interfacing with the global Alstom cybersecurity technical team for new evolutions.

  • Supporting the tender team with cybersecurity products/solutions for Alstom bids/tenders in the railway domain.


All about you

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in information technology and security, with a plus for experience in embedded or industrial systems (railway, aeronautics, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience with security products such as IDS/IPS, Syslogers, Controllers, WIPS, SIEM, Firewalls.

  • An understanding of security protocols (Radius, VPN, IP-SEC, SSH, etc.) and familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux).

  • A cybersecurity certification (GICSP, CISSP, GSEC, CISM, etc.) is desirable.

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of networking and network design is an added advantage.
