Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your customs compliance expertise in a dynamic and impactful field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll ensure seamless customs compliance and drive strategic initiatives to optimize customs-related processes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as finance, supply chain, and legal), provide advisory support to stakeholders, and manage customs-related audits, litigations, and compliance requirements, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of managing mandatory and statutory compliances under Customs law, but also identify opportunities for tax savings and mitigation of customs-related risks.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Acting as a single point of contact (SPOC) for all customs-related litigations and processes

  • Advising business and supply chain teams on customs-related issues and compliance requirements

  • Monitoring and managing customs litigations and refunds, including designing strategies for resolution

  • Providing guidance on compliance and documentation for incentives under the Foreign Trade Policy (e.g., RODTEP, Duty Drawback, Advance Licenses, EPCG Licenses)

  • Supporting tenders and projects from a customs perspective

  • Collaborating with government authorities during audits and investigations

  • Evaluating Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and advising on their impact

  • Addressing queries related to HSN classification and customs regulations

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Law, or a related field

  • MBA, Chartered Accountant, or Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent)

  • 8-10 years of experience in customs, with exposure to indirect taxation and DGFT matters

  • Working knowledge of indirect taxation (preferred)

  • Up-to-date knowledge of customs legislation and recent tax updates

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and opportunities

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for internal and external interfaces
