Job Title: Component Subsystem Manager

Purpose of the Job

Is accountable for the QCDT achievement of Interiors parts in compliance with the Centre of Excellence Interiors Extension team BGL commitments. Organization Reporting

Reports to: CoE Project Managers Leader / CoE Manager Bangalore

Internal Interfaces: Within COE-Interiors: Engineering, Sourcing, Industrial, Bid, Costing, SPQD

With LU site: Projects, Engineering

External Interfaces: Suppliers

Performance Management

  • Performance Measurement
  • 100% FAI (First Article Inspection) GO on time
  • 100% FEI (First Equipment Installation) GO first time
  • Compliance to CoE planning milestones (projects)
  • Compliance to targeted recurring/non-recurring costs (projects)
  • Compliance to Design for Quality milestones

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate various stakeholders to ensure QCDT deliverables: site Engineering, CoE Interiors team, Sourcing, Quality, Industrial, Costing,

Suppliers

  • Ensures that Design for quality, Design reviews, and standard CoE Interiors key processes are applied.
  • At tender phase Upon request, supports the preparation of local tenders as a relay of the CoE bid or engineering teams
  • At project phase Manages CoE Interiors activities according to Contract requirements and CoE Interiors QCDT commitment
  • Is responsible of recurring and non-recurring cost achievements
  • Drive the CoE planning and the suppliers planning until IQA GO
  • Manages the interfaces with Project, site Engineering and suppliers
  • Manage change orders until FAI
  • Implements and updates CoE Interiors risks mitigation plan
  • Manages, communicates and escalates on critical paths
  • Manages the Operational Quality in order to improve Project execution, with support of Supplier Product Quality Manager and Engineering Quality Manager
  • Ensures on time Project and customer’s approvals of relevant documentation.
  • If any, ensures deployment of improvement application in Ref lib.
  • Manage first deliveries, first deliveries missing parts, retrofit configuration and application.

At serial phase

  • Collects the Return of Experience from Project phase and share with CoE Interiors relevant folders and catalogues of best practices
  • Establishes for each change request the CoE QCDT commitment
  • Manages changes requests with Project team and Supplier

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5 years experience in project management in high mix / low volumes industries
  • Able to demonstrate animation skills of cross-functional skills
  • Capable to anticipate issues and to be proactive
  • Ability to prioritize and to work effectively under pressure to meet the deadline
  • Able to work in an international, multi-site and matrix organization structure
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
