OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

  • The Capex lead Is responsible to lead the Preparation of yearly Capex budget, ensure  the capex spent/ Budget implementation progresses as per the plan in order to secure the Project deliverables.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the consolidation of Capex budget figs for all sites and create a full budget for presenting to Management ( for the FY & 3Y )
  • Co-ordinate with APAC team for the final budget, and in turn with sites to fine tune the final figs
  • Co-ordinate with site PIC to ensure that the right figs are updated in the Global template
  • Co-ordinate with site PIC to built the PMFU file and share the same with Sourcing
  • Ensure that the Capex files/template/global template are updated on time ( every month) and the monthly progress/issues are available for creating the report
  • Keep a tab on the committed plan and progress with all Sites PIC and support them to get the process aligned through regular capex calls / Capex meetings
  • Connect with Site PIC’s and sourcing to ensure Capex progresses as planned and say do ratio is maintained above 90%
  • To generate the Capex progress report and Communicate it with business units
  • Gap analysis of plan vs actual during the year to be presented on monthly basis
  • Prepare and present the BR slides ( capex)  for  APAC team / finance controller
  • Capex progress to be presented to APAC on monthly basis
  • Budget phases of F1, F2, LE, for capex consolidations / changes to be managed / co-ordinated with APAC team and all sites through PIC and site MD
  • Undertake monthly review on the capex progress through PR, PO and GRN process based on the PMFU plan
  • Connect with Sourcing for regular progress review on Capex and resolve any road blocks for smooth progress of PR/PO
  • Keep INVEST dashboard updated for Indian sites through co-ordination with PIC
  • Keep CAMT tool and related information updated in co-ordination with site PIC
  • Define and implement any trainings for changes in the Capex processes / tools if any
  • Contribute in the inputs for the updating the process for capex
  • Control the KPI of capex spent and maintain them in defined limits
  • Lead / contribute on the infra / other projects as required for various sites
  • Have strong network within APAC and Finance teams to ensure smooth flow of information on Capex

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION

  • BE/B-Tech Mech / Civil
  • IT literate ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • SAP/Any Other ERP tool

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

  • Total experience required   6 to 10 years
  • Industrial / Infra  background with 3 to 4 years experiences preferably in the railway industry
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English language & Hindi.
  • IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
