Business Analyst

Business Analyst for Alstom Project Management Solutions.

Reporting to the IS&T Project Manager, you will be in charge of developing and maintaining the Projects & Tendering Change & Configuration Management (mainly based on Planisware's Application: Ody.C), and you will act as a member of the Projects & Tendering Domain to ensure overall consistency.

Support for Migration & integration of Legacy project management applications into Ody.C.

Support for the implementation of the Planisware's Project & Portfolio management (PPM) tool at Alstom as a trainer & then coach.

Monitoring functional developments of the software and carrying out non-regression testing plans for the software.

Should have knowledge of PPM Tools & their functionality (SAP PS, Primavera (P6), MS Project, Plan view, CA Clarity etc.).

Working knowledge on Agile Ways of Working.

YOUR JOB:

• Ensure alignment with each Functions global business processes for Engineering Change & Configuration solutions (mainly based on Planisware system).
• Communicate, Coordinate, Understand, Collect and manage demands from central Business taking according to the Planisware functionalities.
• Prepare recommendations for decisions-making at Change Control Board.
• Maintain solution referential & design documentation.
• Conduct pre-studies, deliver high level designs and support execution of Information Technology & Systems (IS&T) related projects.
• Create Functional specifications and coordinate on technical specifications.
• Define business process workflow in alignment with Out of the Box (OOTB) recommended practices.
• Understand various OOTB capabilities and design possible customizations & configurations.
• Construct and execute systematic test procedures for critical IS systems or customer usability requirements to establish compliance with design specifications.
• Produce documents and report to evidence certification requirements.
• Respond to user requests and issues, recording relevant information.
• Support the deploy, define and conduct the adapted trainings.
• Support operations teams with regards to critical incidents.
• Analyze technology industry and business trends and determine their potential applicability at Alstom.
• Data analytics capabilities and the appropriate mechanisms to make (a) decisions.
• Support roll-out, ensuring that Core Model is applied.

Project & Tendering domain contains the following macro-processes:

• PPM Tool Management.
• Configuration Management.
• Change Management (Issue, Problem, CR, Solution, Documenting, Implementing, Deploying, Testing).

Major challenges for next years, on this scope will be multiple, and structuring for Alstom:

• PPM transformation program.
• Bombardier Tools & Apps integration project.
• Digital transformation for IS&T processes.
• Bring adoption to next level by enhancing user responsiveness, mobility.
• Work with both Hierarchical Manager & Functional Manager.

PROFILE:

To be considered for this role, candidate need to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes:

• Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology.
• You have a strong knowledge and more than 7 years of experience in PPM Tools solutions (Planisware) on various roles (business / functional architecture / core model definition, solution deployment).
• You have a strong knowledge on Engineering business processes, from industrial companies designing and manufacturing complex PPM products.
• You have worked for global companies either as a service provider or as a customer, ideally both roles.
• You demonstrate good communication, efficiency and ability to execute. You are result oriented and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.
• You have a very strong leadership and are business value oriented.
• Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the Alstom.
