Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your railway dynamics expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in shaping the future of railway dynamics by contributing to the development of advanced solutions for tenders, projects, and R&D initiatives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including engineering, project management, and testing teams), provide technical support to project teams, and perform advanced simulations and analyses to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of safety and performance.
You’ll specifically take care of performing Multi-Body System (MBS) calculations using tools like SIMPACK and VAMPIRE, as well as analyzing and interpreting test results, but also supporting the development and deployment of new processes and methodologies.
We’ll look to you for:

Applying Railway Dynamics instructions and guidelines to project tasks

Providing technical support to project teams
-
Performing technical specification analyses and preparing clause-by-clause evaluations
-
Conducting GAP analyses for railway dynamics between proposed solutions and reference standards
-
Supporting the creation of Railway Dynamics Management Plans and Technical Requirement Specifications
-
Identifying and addressing missing data or inputs
-
Conducting risk analyses for project and tender assumptions
-
Preparing calculation matrices and supporting certification and acceptance phases
-
Performing railway dynamics simulations
-
Providing support for ongoing projects and addressing critical issues
-
Collaborating with Chief Engineers and Core Competence Network leaders to improve methodologies and guidelines
-
Contributing to the development and deployment of new processes
-
Assisting in updating and developing métier instructions

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
-
More than 5 years of experience in a Railway Dynamics department or R&D in the railway dynamics domain
-
Strong knowledge of Multi-Body System tools (such as SIMPACK, VAMPIRE, or other)
-
Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, Fortran, or other programming languages like C++
-
Comprehensive understanding of mechanical vibrations, track-vehicle systems, and their impact on dynamic behavior
-
Experience in modeling and controlling active systems in Matlab/Simulink
-
Knowledge of signal conditioning algorithms in Matlab/Simulink
-
Familiarity with mechanical design and calculation, particularly related to bogie mechanical and suspension components
-
Understanding of Railway Dynamics International Standards
-
Strong communication skills, proactivity, and teamwork abilities
-
English proficiency (advanced level in reading, writing, and speaking)

French proficiency (advanced level in reading and conversational skills) is preferred
