Could you be the full-time Engineering Tender Manager in our vibrant Bangalore office we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive engineering and management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates.
You'll spearhead the engineering aspects of our tender processes, ensuring seamless integration and communication with the core tender team and managing internal interfaces. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Product Development and Project Management), oversee the creation of technical documentation for tender submissions, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of analyzing customer requirements, identifying product gaps, and defining strategic solutions to address these challenges. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing technical risks with a robust action plan.
We’ll look to you for:

Functional management of the engineering team allocated to tenders

Managing technical exchanges with customers and internal stakeholders

Building up the engineering proposal, including the QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery)

Establishing and validating engineering commitments such as master planning, costing, and risk management

Ensuring alignment with the Site Engineering Director and Bid Manager on engineering assumptions

Advocating a customer-oriented approach in all technical dealings

Degree in Engineering or a related field

Experience or understanding of product architecture, operation, and performance within the rail industry

Knowledge of train operation, maintenance, and design-to-cost principles

Familiarity with the engineering development DFQ sequences and tender processes

A certification in project or engineering management is advantageous

Proven experience in engineering costing and risk assessment

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
